Laurie Humble
Laurie first became known for her realist works in watercolor, featuring bold color, and highlighting unusual vantage points. These works are included in private and permanent collections across the country and have garnered awards in numerous National and International Exhibitions.
Her work has appeared on the cover and has been the subject of feature articles in American Artist Magazine and Watercolor Artist. It has been included in Southwest Art, International Artist, the book Splash 10, and many others. She has produced five instructional DVD’s, three with Art Academy Live and a two-DVD series, Secrets in Watercolor, with Artists Network TV. Laurie’s first book, Watercolor Depth and Realism, was published by North Light Books 2008.
Her artistic journey led to the exploration of other mediums and subject matter. Her current collection includes mystical, more surreal, figurative mixed media works on paper, canvas, and bronze sculpture.
