Angela Fabbri

Self-taught, California born, Mississippi raised, and Houston based, Angela Fabbri is internationally collected and best known for her contemporary realism and electric color palettes. She received her first commission at 16 and has continued to have monumental moments in her career including an exhibition at the 2019 Florence Biennale in Italy, in solo show in Marfa, TX, and during Art Basel Miami in 2019, 2021, 2022, and 2023.  In 2017, Fabbri unveiled her contemporary realism series, Inversion, which features her signature backwards messaging and magnetic detail. With multiple acknowledgements from the press, celebrity, and international collectors, this series took Fabbri’s career to the next level. She has painted live at events for Baccarat, Thrillist, and Dos Equis. In 2017, the assistant curator for the MOCA, Los Angeles, selected her work for a group exhibition in Houston, Celebrating Texas Art; then again in 2018 by the assistant curator for the Whitney in NY. Additionally, in 2019, Fabbri opened a popup gallery at Houston’s luxury shopping center, The River Oaks District. With dream come true neighbors, Harry Winston and Hermes, Fabbri’s wonderful world of color was open to the public 7 days a week for an event packed 3 months. In 2021, Fabbri opened a 6 month popup at Houston’s bustling Rice Village where she unveiled her cheeky monochromatic series, Abstracts With Attitude. Wrapping up 2023 with her fourth time showing during Art Basel Miami, there’s no slowing down with her first New York show around the corner at Art Expo in April.
